When the hell did Jarmon get hurt???
The Redskins placed "Captain Chaos" Chris Cooley on Injured Reserve due to his broken right ankle, ending his season. There was talk that he would be back and playing by now, but it seems his ankle is taking longer to heal than some thought, and with the season pretty much sucking ass at this point, they decided to give #47 a few more months off. Fred Davis will continue to play first team at Tight End. I hope he's practicing catching the ball with his hands - if you throw the ball over his head don't expect him to pull it down. In fact, you better hope no one intercepts it after Davis tips it into the air.
At least Davis can learn on the job, so to speak.
Don't feel too bad for him, Chris comes home to this every night.

...and by the way, where's our thank you note for the napkin ring, Christy? Seriously...
-In other injury news, Jeremy Jarmon tore his left ACL during a kickoff and is out for the year as well. He and Ladell Betts can rehab together!
-Clinton Portis is out for the game against the Saints. They might as well put him on IR as well.
-Aaron's Dog Justin Tryon left the game with a Hip Pointer, but is expected to play this weekend. Smoot left with an unspecified head injury, and along with DeAngelo Hall and Albert Haynesworth, he's looking Questionable so far.
-Jason Campbell said he blacked out for a second on that late hit by Juqua Parker at the end of the Eagles game. One of many examples of horrible officiating - we'll talk more about that in the podcast this week. Ineligible Lineman downfield, anyone?
-Defensive End Rob Jackson and Linebacker Alvin Bowen were signed from the Practice Squad. Surprisingly, Marcus Mason hasn't been CUT! yet. Not that he should be, but the Redskins haven't been smart enough to keep him what, three times so far? Four? Some DL named Antoine Holmes was signed to th Practice Squad. One spot remains open.
At least most of the team still has heart and hasn't given up. For having nine players on IR, I think the team is playing it's best football of the season right now. Except for Stephon Heyer. CUUUUUUUUUUT!!!
I said I love me some Holding penalties! (credit - bleacherreport.com )
