Dudes, Just a few thoughts from the game last night. (More to come on the podcast) 1. The Defense is back. They looked shakey for the first series but after that they looked like they were back to their old ways. 2. Fletcher is a beast. He was all over the field. It was great to see an active linebacker again. He was pumped. 3. Collins should be the number two. Brunell sucked. He played against the same scrubbs that Collins did and couldn't do anything right. Collins looked like he was playing football against his five year old nephew and friends. Solid. and he got us the much needed W. 4. I know it was ugly, but this preseason win was important for us. Did you see how pumped Clinton Portis was? I believe this will give the team momentum going into the next preseason games and on to the regular season. 5. Hail to the Redskins.

"Ocho-Stinko"...heh heh heh...
I fear the only way Brunell will be gone is if he gets badly injured and is put on IR for the season. I just can't see Gibbs making the cut. For Pete's sake Joe, CUT! CUT!

Redskins Report #1: Ocho-Stinko must go! I have said this before, and I will now have to say it again. It is something that should be fact, and maybe after last night Joe Gibbs may finally understand. Redskins backup QB, “Ocho-Stinko” (Mark Burnell) should be traded, retired, or thrown deep into the sidelines, where he can never hold a football ever again. The one and three-fourths quarters that he got to play quarterback were dismal. He looked like a scared little second grader that was slow, plodding, and just hesitated to make a play. He acted like he was scared he was going to fall down and skin his knee. The second and third-string Titans defense just had their way with them, and even forced a fumble. Granted the first and second string did the same thing to Jason Campbell twice earlier, but Campbell was always flowing and moving. If there was to be an opening, Campbell at least tried, and did get a few long passes off. Jason Campbell: Trying to live up to the number of the two Superbowl bound QBs before him (Kilmer and Williams). With two fumbles and not getting any protection, its still too early to tell if he'll ever live up to the legend. As for “Ocho-stinko”, Burnell looked like slow-motion man: his brain was seeing what I saw five seconds earlier! He just looked lost, and even third-string Titan’s defense just loved to plow him into the ground all night. If somebody wanted to just blame the offense from not protecting old Mark, then why was Todd Collins performing like a machine out there with the third-string offense in the last three minutes of the game? Collins might not be a great backup QB, but he did more with the third string in four minutes than “Ocho-Stinko” did all night. Oh and kudos to the NFL network for telling us how terrible the Redskins were, when all strings of their defense kept Tennessee at bay all night, only scoring two field goals. It just seems like even when they were winners; the Redskins were blasted as preverbal losers by one media outlet or another. The Washington Redskins (sadly) will be a mere 8-8 team (if that), but I grow sick of the constant Redskin bashing by the media, who had to quickly shut up when Washington won the game 14-6. It was a lucky victory, but Todd Collins brought it to the third-string Titans defense and the Titans took Collins with a grain of salt. A sloppy fumble by the Titans offense minutes later, ensured another touchdown and the victory for the Skins. If anything can be learned from this first game would be sitting number 8 for good, and testing how Collins can do with the second and third string for the rest of the preseason. As for Jason Campbell, the kid needs protection because he can throw the long bombs when needed and while the running game has always been what the Skins have been about, they can't just depend on it working all the time. Message to Coach Gibbs: Campbell needs work (but will be your best bet), Collins should be your backup, and Ocho-Stinko must go! Write comment

Before those last couple minutes I was like tortured by how bad the game was going, I thought our Offense sucked, but since we won 14-6 none of that seems to matter now. Our D looked great, fletcher was great, but he did drop that INT. I thought our CB's could have played better.
Overall
Defense= A
Offense=C-
Cant wait till we play miami.
P.S. (hahaha ocho stinko)
