Joe Bugle Sounds His Last Charge

Dudes, Joe Bugle has called it quits. The man who shaped a group of largely unheralded and sometimes undrafted (Joe Jacoby) Offensive Linemen into one of the most, if not THE most, famous O-Line in NFL history is retiring, this time for good.

This had been expected, what with ShanahanTheMan coming in, along with Bruce Allen, to overhaul the team and staff, but it's still a sad day in the history of the Washington Redskins.

Mike Shanahan is the new Head Coach of the Washington Redskins.

The quick and dirty:

-He gets final say on football decisions over Bruce Allen. Hmmm...

-He's getting $7 million a year. Holy crap!

His Press Conference will be Wednesday at 2pm. Time to start kickin' some butts and makin' some CUTS!

Everyone expects it, but there have been no confirmed reports that Mike Shanahan is the next Head Coach of the Washington Redskins as off Tuesday evening.

Lots of rumors, but nothing concrete - we don't want to report bogus info, you get enough of that listening to our podcasts each week.

Speaking of, we're holding off on this week's 'cast (#198!) in hopes that we can talk about the new head coach in definite terms...stay tuned...

New G.M. Bruce Allen wasted little time this morning after arriving back in Virginia from the latest (and last) debacle of a game in San Deigo in firing Jim Zorn. Reports are that the team arrived in Ashburn around 2:15am, and Zorn was CUT! and out of the building before 3.

Brian Orakpo was named to the NFC Pro Bowl squad today. He's the only rookie, and he's the only Redskin. I think Terrible is a good word to describe the Redskins tonight. Head Coach. Offense. Defense. Special Teams. Terrible.

This goes down as the third worst game I've ever seen, right after (2) the game against the Patriots in 2007, and (1) Superbowl 18. Bruce Allen must be rethinking his decision to be the new GM...or much more likely preparing his CUT! list. Hopefully Zorn is at the top. What the hell was that 'trick&# [...]
